NOTE: B$100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 3 and 1, and 50 cents.

COIN: 25, 15, 10, 5 and 1 cents.

US DOLLAR ACCEPTED:

Yes, widely. The Bahamian Dollar is in parity with the US Dollar, and the US Dollar can be used as legal tender in the Bahamas.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS AND ATMS:

Main credit card providers MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club are widely accepted. ATMs are also available in the Bahamas.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE:

Available in usual outlets such as bureaux de change and banks, as well as some hotels. It is advisable to arrange currency exchange before travel in order to access the best rates.

TRAVELLER'S CHEQUES:

It is best to use Travellers Cheques in US Dollars.
