The Principality of Liechtenstein is a tiny 'microstate' in Western Europe. It is a constitutional monarchy and is a popular destination for winter sports, thanks to its mountainous landscape. The capital is Vaduz and the official language is German.

Liechtenstein is known as something of a tax haven with a dominant financial sector. This is despite not many natural resources, and it is a very wealthy and free country. There are in fact more registered companies than there is population! Anti Money Laundering regulations have increased in order to ensure the image of the country remains intact.
