It is probably best not to rely on credit cards although some are accepted in larger hotels, restaurants and some shops. There are ATM machines in larger towns.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE:

NOTE: The Moroccan Dirham can only be obtained within Morocco. Do not attempt to change money in the street as it is illegal. You can obtain Dirhams via ATM machines. You will need to change Dirhams back to your currency before departing Morocco and when you change money you will be given a receipt which you must keep in order to do this.
