While the credit card use is growing in Romania, it is not recommended to rely on these. Most major credit cards are accepted by main hotels some businesses in main towns. ATM machines will accept MasterCard and Visa in main towns.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE:

Euros can be used widely in Romania, and Pounds Sterling can be exchanged at most resorts. Main currency exchange services are at banks and bureaux de change - make sure to check rates in advance.
