Tanzania is officially called the United Republic of Tanzania and is located in East Africa. Being on the Indian Ocean, it is a major seaport for itself and surrounding landlocked countries. The capital is Dodoma but the largest city is Dar es Salaam. The official languages are Swahili and English.

The main element of the economy of Tanzania is agriculture and takes over the main proportion of GDP and exports, as well as the labour force. There are natural resources including natural gas and gold. Tanzanite gemstones also come from Tanzania.
