This is Sterling's card for the occasional user - there is no monthly fee but a 1.50 per transaction fee. If you are going to use the card 4 times or more a month; you should get the Sterling Activeplus account.

No fee for topups online, at Post Office, bank transfer or wages
No Money transfer fee to another Sterling card
Up to 4 free additional cards for other users
Secondary card holder can be as young as 13 - great card for parents who want to get their child used to money management
Disadvantages
1.50 purchase fee per transaction - expensive if you use often
