The Times Prepaid Card (Prepaid Card)Matercard
The Times Prepaid MasterCard®
The Times Prepaid Card looks just like a credit or debit card, with chip&PIN, signature strip and card number, but it is different in that you do not need a bank account to have one, and you do not have access to a line of credit.  You can't borrow with this card - all you do is pre-load the card with your funds and spend as and when you like.  Once the money has been spent, you need to top it up again.  This is a great way of keeping an eye on your expenditure.  You can have more than one card per account so that friends and family can also access your money.  Simply open an eccount® on the Times Online website and choose from one of two tariffs: Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go.
There are fees associated with both tariffs, including transaction fees, ATM cash withdrawal fees and on the Pay Monthly tariff there is a monthly flat fee that will be deducted directly from the money loaded on the card.  Use the card at one of millions of ATMs around the world that bear the MasterCard® logo, as well as many shops and restaurants.  See The Times online website for more details.
