RBS BLACK CREDIT CARD REVIEW
RBS Black Credit Card - Credit Card
(Which Way To Pay - 8/6/2009)
The most exclusive card from RBS, the Black Credit Card gives the user a great run of privileges. A mimimum credit of 15,000 and amazing benefits for an annual fee of 250. These include access to a personal assistant all hours of the day, travel insurance, breakdown cover and airport lounges.
Of course this card is not available to all: the requirements include a minimum annual income of 75,000 and you must be at least 25 years of age. Application is easy online or over the phone. The decision is made instantly.
You may fit the acceptance criteria but have faltered at the APR rate which is stated as 51.8% - this seems steep, but fear not: the actual APR rate is 12.4%. Sound complicated? It sounds it but in reality isn't: RBS ensure customers on their website that the 51.8% quoted is merely a compliance measure to fall within the Consumer Credit Act regulations. The credit limit and annual fee on RBS Black are different to the regular 'notional' credit limit of 1,500 and this coupled with the 250 annual fee on this card means the APR rate is distorted. In other words, ignore the 51.8% and relax knowing this card actually has a very low, competitive rate! If you fit the criteria bill, this card is worth checking out.
RBS Black Credit Card is ranked 4 out of 5. Based on 1 review.
