Support your Charity without changing spending habits

Support your Charity without changing spending habits

Despite the recent recession, UK households are still keen givers.  Charities are all-important to many Brits but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start.

Which charity appeals to you and how can you contribute?  There are many ways in which it is possible to give to a cause – from organising a sponsored activity (such as run or record attempt), to throwing a party, to simply setting up a Direct Debit with your favourite charity.

Charity Credit Cards

For a an incredibly easy way to give without having to do anything different, charity credit cards are the perfect solution.

Charity credit cards allow the holder to give to their cause without having to change their spending habits.  In fact, all the card user does is spend money the same way they always have done – but the card provider will donate a sum of money when you use the card to spend.  Easy!  There are many charity credit cards available so let us pick one and take a closer look…

RSPCA Credit Card

This card is compared and reviewed on Which Way To Pay and is provided with Visa®.  A great starter is that a £20 donation will be made on your first spend.

After that, RSPCA will receive 25p with every £100 spent using the card.  There are no balance transfer fees for the first year and no card purchase fees for the first six months – a pretty reasonable offer.

The typical APR rate on the RSPCA card is a little high at 15.9 per cent, but this card has a great advantage (aside from the giving aspect) – it allows you to rebuilt credit.

If you are an animal lover and want to help your cause, then this card is a great start.
