Direct Line Insurance is available for dogs and cats with a choice of two different levels of cover. “Essential” provides up to £4,000 for per medical condition for up to 12 months from the first stage of treatment, the “Advanced” policy up to £6,000 for unlimited time.

Optional extras include boarding fees if you have two be treated in hospital, holiday cancellation cover and other is your pet gets stolen or dies from an accident.

You can include cover for overseas travel, and for dogs you can take out legal liability if the it causes damage or injury.

The age of the pet can be between 8 weeks and up to 11 years. The policy costs are from £13.16 per month.
