STERLING ACTIVEPLUS MASTERCARD REVIEW
Sterling Activeplus Mastercard - Prepaid Card
(Which Way To Pay - 1/5/2008)
The Sterling Prepaid card has two options; the Flexiplus pay-as-you-go for those who use the card less often and the Activeplus card for the customer who uses the card more often.

This is the Activeplus card which has a monthly fee of 5.95, but saves money on day to day fees.

Low fees are where the card excels. There is no point of sale purchase fee, either abroad or in the UK. There is no charge for topping up on any method, with the exception of E-pay which carries a flat 2 fee.

This is another area where Sterling scores strongly - there is a wide number of top up methods, including by bank, post office and internet; and none of these carry charges.

On the negative side we have a monthly charge, though if you use the card more than 4 times a month you save money in comparison to the pay-as-you-go card because of the low fees. The ATM charge is also fairly high at 2.50 a withdrawal.

Overall this is a value for money card for those who are going to use it often to purchase and top up, but we would advise users to stay away from the cashpoint!
Sterling Activeplus Mastercard is ranked 4 out of 5. Based on 1 review.
