Sainsbury’s offers comprehensive, third party and theft and third party only car insurance. Customers can choose between two levels of cover which is their Premier Cover, offering extra cover, and their Standard Car Insurance. Standard cover includes – a courtesy car after an accident for the duration of the repair, hotel expenses, replace child seats, repair your windscreen, cover for when travelling in Europe and protection for you if you are a passenger.

They also offer an added 4 levels of breakdown cover that you can easily add to your policy which includes UK breakdown cover, combined UK and EU breakdown cover, motor legal protection and the option to protect your no claims discount. Before you can the insurance you need to supply your name, information about your vehicle and who will be driving it and any motoring offences. You can choose to pay your annual premium in a lump sum by credit or debit card, or have the payments spread across the year where interest will be charged at the rate shown in your quotation. If you take out car insurance you will get Sainsbury’s Breakdown service free for a whole year and if you have a nectar card you can get up to 15% discount off you policy.
